Today is 3/14, and math fanatics will tell you that it is Pi Day, and you will be regaled with stories of crazy college parties from math nerds. Drinking games involving calculus? YES.
Anyway, if you want to be really nerdy, you can celebrate e day (2/7), mole day (10/23), the day the world implodes (sqroot(-1)), etc. etc. etc.

So I just joined Facebook. I know, I’m like a couple years behind the rest of the world, but that’s ok. I realized other friends of mine just joined too. It’s been a really cool experience finding people and having people find me from eons ago. All of my high-school pals are in their 30’s now (myself included.) Most of us are married, with or without kids, or engaged....

So I was watching some news program last night (don’t recall which one), but I do recall the discussion was about the auto industry bail-out. The interviewer asked the reporter on the scene what Obama’s stance was on the issue, or if he was doing anything to assist. The reporter said no, and that an aide close to Obama had said he was keeping quiet on the issue and had not reached out...
